Joe Turcotte is a Maine-based Republican political operative, graphic & website designer who never backs down from the tough fights.
Joe developed his campaign skills waging hard-fought battles for President Trump and Maine Republican leaders like Governor Paul LePage, Senator Susan Collins, Congressman Bruce Poliquin, and countless local Republican candidates.
Joe recently served as the Maine State Director for the Republican National Committee during the 2020 Election Cycle running the Maine Trump Victory campaign. Under his leadership, Maine is officially a presidential battleground state. President Donald J. Trump won Maine’s 2nd Congressional District Electoral College vote, re-elected U.S. Senator Susan Collins, and helped gained 11 seats in the Maine House of Representatives.
Joe recruited, hired, and trained and managed 23 full-time staffers and 20 plus interns; the largest Maine Republican campaign ever.
The team never missed a campaign voter contact goal the entire cycle and routinely was praised by RNC leadership for excellence in the field. He developed and implemented the largest voter contact operation in Maine history producing over 600,000 doors, 2.1 million phone calls, and 10,000 volunteers in a state of 1 million active voters.
As the President’s in-state campaign manager, Joe coordinated and implemented daily Field, Data, Communications, Election Day Operations, and Data tasks to win the day for President Trump and Republican candidates.
Known as a data-driven campaign operative, Joe implemented the largest data operation in Maine Republican history which produced over 800 unique data requests from 94 Republican candidates. He provided daily strategic advice on paid voter contact programs and universes for partner campaigns.
During the 2018 Election Cycle, Joe implemented the first Maine RNC Victory program in over a decade. He worked with local stakeholders and volunteers to build up a cutting edge ground game that produced a then-record 1.1 million voter contacts and increased Republican turnout by 11%.
Joe was the main writer and researcher for the 49-page Maine GOP’s 2018 Post Election Report & Voter Contact Report which detailed the party’s operations, down ticket races, fundraising, and field operations. This report served as a blueprint for the party’s 2020 operations and aided Senator Collins’ U.S. campaign.
One of Joe’s proudest accomplishments is mentoring and developing a bench of Maine Republican campaign operatives talent which was sorely missing when he entered the campaign world. He has recruited and trained over 150 staffers and interns in his time in Maine Republican politics.
Joe’s a bridge builder who believes everyone has something to contribute to a winning campaign or cause.
Joe lives in Augusta, Maine with his wife Amanda and their black lab Georgia Peach. He is a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
